Every mile counts. Every ride makes a difference. Miles4Meals is a movement dedicated to supporting animal shelters and feeding less fortunate animals across South Africa. A group of cyclists are taking on the challenge to convert their miles into meals – ensuring that no animal goes hungry.
The Urgent Need
South Africa has over 1,000 animal shelters, many of which struggle daily to provide food and care for abandoned and abused animals. With an estimated 230,000 stray dogs and cats roaming the streets, the demand for food, medical care, and shelter is overwhelming. 80% of animal shelters operate at full capacity and more than half of shelters rely solely on donations to survive.
